This painting depicts the tipping point between winter and spring, a moment when nature is already awakening, yet still startled by the turbulent character of March.
The loose, dynamic brushstrokes in the upper section suggest a sky filled with wind and rain, as if showers are racing across the fields. Below, the landscape comes alive: fresh green tones and emerging flowers in pink, red, and yellow break through, stubborn and fragile at the same time.
The light, almost sketch-like lines of the stems convey a sense of movement, as if the plants bend with the force of the wind without breaking. In this way, the painting captures the energy of a season in transition: raw, vibrant, and full of promise.
